The Bourne Identity Opening Sequence

The Bourne Identity is a 2002 American-German action spy film loosely based on Robert Ludlum's novel of the same name.

The film first appears with having 'Universal Studios' right at the beginning. In contrast to Kill Bill, the film has no titles apart from the film title 'The Bourne Identity'.  The film then goes into a scene of a boat out at see. There is the sound of wind, sea and lightning and to add to this, there is flashes for the lightning. Something is seen to be floating in the sea, and it is later revealed that it is a body. Once the men on the boat have pulled out the body from the sea, they take him down into a cabin where he is examined by one of the men. At this time, a different kind of music is played which builds up tension for the audience. There is also the sound of the doors creaking which adds more tension for the audience as they do not know what is going to happen next. The  man then pulls out a bullet type of thing from the mans body which has a light on it. He shines it on the wall and some codes then appear. This makes the audience wonder who he is and why he has this in his body. The man with the bullets in him, then attacks the other man. He asks questions to the man whilst holding him up against the wall. The man against the wall then questions who he is, but the man does not know. This leaves the audience with suspense as they do not know who the man is and nor does he know who he is. This adds more mystery to the scene.
